General option, "Temp Folder" tab

Select the [Option/Option] menu to start this Global Option dialog box.

Folder for creating temporary files:

Specify the temporary folder to create intermediate files in it during synchronization. If leave the temporary folder empty here, BestSync uses the OS default setting. In following cases, BestSync need to use the temporary folder.

1. Synchronize two remote folders, such as synchronize a FTP folder with a WebDAV folder. BestSync download the files from the FTP folder to the temporary folder, then upload the files in the temporary folder to WebDAV folder. The temporary file will be removed after the file is transferred successfully.
2. Synchronize a local folder with a remote folder, such as FTP folder, or a bucket in a cloud storage; and the encryption option is also selected. BestSync encrypts the files first to the temporary folder, then upload the encrypted files to remote folder. The temporary file will be removed after the file is transferred successfully.

Clear temporary files for every specified days:

If the temporary files are failed to be copied, the temporary files may be remained for resuming the transfer from the last break-point. Specify this option for clearing the remained temporary files automatically.
